HOW TO ASK GOOGLE TO SEARCH AND INDEX YOUR BLOG

Make Google Index Your “newborn” Website & Blog in a Flash

You did it.

You bought a domain, set up a web host and polished your blog design.

You even wrote a few posts.

It's amazing.

Except... why no visitors (other than your friends, family and those you told on social networking sites)?

In the end, you followed all the usual steps. It's been over a week. Cancel it, it's been two weeks!

Why doesn't Google show my blog and posts in search results?
Is something wrong?
Patience, Grasshopper.
The odds are that everything's okay. It's just that sometimes it takes a little longer for Google to include your blog in search results.

And while manually sending your URL to Google or adding a map of your blog site to Google Webmaster Tools can sometimes speed up the process, you really don't need to do anything for Google to find you.

Google's automated system regularly "crawls" around the web in search of content to add to the index.

It can take some time to get to you.

But if you are an active person, you can ask Google to browse your blog and add it to Google Index.

Ask Google to browse and index your blog.

1. SIGN UP AT GOOGLE WEBMASTER-TOOLS
You created a Google Webmaster Tools account, right?

If not, you can sign up here. Signing up is free and easy.

2. CLICK ON THE LINK TO YOUR WEBSITE
If you have multiple websites that you have added to Google Webmaster Tools, click on the one you want Google to view.

Most likely, you only have one site. Click on it.

3. CRAWL LIKE A GOOGLE GOOGLE
On the left side of the dashboard you will see a list of options.

Click on the "Crawl" option.

One of the additional options in the "Crawl" section is "Receive as Google".

Click on "Retrieve as Google".

4. LEAVE THE DEFAULT SETTINGS AND GET THEM
On the next screen you will see your URL with the text field on the right.

Leave this field blank. *

There is a drop-down menu to the right of the text field.

Make sure that "Web" is selected.

Press the Get button.

5. CONFIRM STATUS, ADD TO INDEX
The search may take a few minutes, but once it is complete, your "search status" will appear on the screen.

You should see the word "Success".
Next to the "Success" button is the "Send to Index" button.
Click on it.

6. CHOOSE THE PRESENTATION METHOD
After you press the Submit to Index button, a command line will appear.

You have two options: Crawl only by the URL you entered, or crawl by this URL and all its links.

In these steps, our goal was to view and index your entire site. So choose the second option.

There you go. You're done!

*Searching for Google to index new content *
If you have written new content, you can ask Google to view and index it in the same way as described above.

The differences are only in stages 4 and 6.

In step 4, instead of leaving the text field empty, you need to enter the URL of the new content.

For example, suppose I want Google to look through and index this blog post.

The full URL is https://beabetterblogger.com/how-to-ask-google-to-crawl-and-index-your-blog/.

So, in the text box in step 4, I would type: "How to ask a question - Google - crawl and index - your blog/".

Since I wouldn't ask Google to crawl and index my entire website in step 6, I'd choose the option "Crawl only on this URL" in step 6.

Google allows you to send such content up to 500 times per month.

Looking to the future
Don't worry about it. In time, Google will open your site.

Over time, your content will grow and the number of people referring to your large content will also increase.

And once that happens, you don't have to wait for Google to show the world your new content. It will be published a few minutes after you click "Publish".

In the meantime, use these steps. And don't be discouraged!
